Job summary

Join our dynamic team in the heart of the Credit Trading Product Line, based in the bustling capital markets trading room in London. This role is integral to both the Secondary and Primary Business operations, which are active round the clock, 5 days a week across time zones from Hong Kong to New York. As a Credit Trading Business Manager Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of strategies and procedures within the Credit Trading sector. This position requires a candidate with strong competencies in integrity, autonomy, and resilience under pressure.

 

Key Responsibilities are but not limited to:

 

 

  • Assist the Credit Trading Business Manager with daily queries from various business functions including IT, Middle Office, Back Office, Compliance, Risk, Finance, etc., and engage with Credit chain stakeholders like DCM, Syndicate, and Sales
  • Perform daily and weekly Credit P&L production and related commercial analyses for the Credit Trading Management:
  • Collect and analyze P&L data, challenge data sources, chase inconsistencies, and produce the official Front Office Global P&L on Credit Trading
  • Diligently analyze costs daily and challenge any unknown charges
  • Produce P&L by trader and perform ad hoc analysis on results, commercial margins, etc
  • Respond to enquiries from GMD Operational Risk, RPC Permanent Control, and Audit
  • Conduct investigations on trades with negative mark-ups and follow up on Audit open recommendations
  • Review, update, maintain, and implement Policies and Procedures of Credit Trading
  • Ensure alignment with new Credit markets best practices and assist with any remediation actions to comply with Credit Policies & Procedures
  • Enhance setup and processes through automation and enhancements of spreadsheets and other documents
  • Prepare various extractions and presentations for different Credit stakeholders and assist in ongoing projects like pre-trade control or new activity processes
