Job summary

This position will be responsible for originating and executing Korea real estate financing transactions, managing client relationships, and supporting portfolio and regional business initiatives. The role offers exposure to cross-border transactions and close collaboration with regional and global stakeholders across business, credit, legal, compliance and treasury functions.

 

Key responsibilities

1. Business Development & Client Coverage

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with regional and international clients to originate Korea real estate financing opportunities
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and contribute to broader business development initiatives

 

2. Transaction Execution

  • Execute Korea transactions from pitching, term sheet negotiation to financial modelling, legal documentation, through to closing.
  • Prepare Business Memos and Credit Applications to facilitate the credit approval process.

 

3. Regional & Internal Coordination

  • Contribute to various local, regional and head office tasks : budget exercise, regulatory / compliance reporting, portfolio reviews, etc
  • Provide assistance to the team on regional transactions whenever necessary

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

  • Knowledge of local real estate financing specificities including structures, parameters, regulations, etc.

Level of minimal experience

6-10 years

Experience

  • >5 years of real estate financing experience
    Station in Hong Kong initially for c.1.5 years before potential relocation to Korea
  • Strong drive in business development through gauging Korea’s local dynamics across different real estate asset classes
  • Numerically sensitive and highly analytical
  • Fluency in written and spoken Korean and English (important)
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and also as a team player
