Job summary

·        Responsible for marketing, originating, structuring and managing Trade Finance and Receivables Financing solutions for Delhi, Chennai & Bengaluru

·        Identifying prospects and making joint calls with coverage or other FO / BO teams as relevant.

·        Meeting customers to ensure optimum utilization of limits.

·        Assisting / guiding coverage or other B/Ls in any trade finance related matters.

·        Ensuring assigned trade finance budgets are met.  

To ensure that all necessary reporting to Head office are sent within stipulated deadlines.

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Postgraduate degree – MA/MSc/PhD/Doctorate or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality


Level of minimal experience

6-10 years


8 years of relevant experience in sales functions such as Trade Finance, Coverage / Relationship Management etc.

Required skills

·        Originate T/F business for the responsible region with special emphasis on:
1.      Corporate T/F activities: In line with the marketing and risk architecture of the Bank’s set-up, actively promote and support T/F business with the existing Local corporate & Multinational clients of as well as prospects.
·        Coordination of T/F activities with the large international network of the group (> 50 countries) and other subsidiaries (LCL, foreign based subsidiaries …) both for:
Inbound activities: T/F flows channeled to India by the group network and other referrals.
Outbound activities: T/F business directed by India to other branches in the group (Buyer’s Credit, Reverse Forfaiting, Export Financing, etc).
·         Negotiate and structure T/F transactions in Credit Agricole CIB India or booking units outside India in close coordination with local relationship managers, regional T/F management and relevant legal, risk and compliance departments.
·         Assigned with a specific T/F Budget (Local and Global) and the responsibilities in this respect (revenue targets, follow-up, etc…)
·         Provide efficient expertise and technical support within the bank in the different type of L/Cs, guarantees and forfaiting operations, especially taking into account India market and practices.
·         Monitoring local market conditions (benchmarking and intelligence activity), follow regulatory guidelines and implement changes to existing or new products.
