Job summary

 

Job Title: Sector Credit Officer (Director)

 

Purpose: Responsible for processing credit requests and annual reviews in Power/Utilities, Oil and Gas, and Global Commodities Finance. Supervision of two credit analysts.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

•      For assigned files for which RPC is responsible for the primary credit analysis, preparation of the first level credit application and analysis based on requests received from the Front Office including: o   Presentation of sector trends and drivers, and counterparty market position. Peer comparison. o     Detailed presentation of financial statements and financial projections when applicable. o   Review of legal protections including credit and trading agreements, guarantees and financial covenants as applicable.

o    Prepare and/or review Anadefi ratings. o   Submission of files to NY Credit Committee via email or in person. 

o    Processing of Phidias and Anadefi.

•      For assigned files for which the Front Office prepares the first level credit application, preparation of the second level RPC opinion, including independent analysis of the borrower, transaction structure, term sheet, financial models, etc.  Review and verify Anadefi ratings.  Process Phidias.

•      Presentation of the RPC Opinion to RPC management and to the NYCC.

•      Frequent interaction with the various Front Office teams to gather additional information concerning the client, discuss credit risk issues and mitigants, and obtain relationship profitability information and commercial support/strategy. 

•      Active coordination with RPC Paris to answer any inquiries for additional information/explanations, follow-up on rating validations, and communicate credit issues and trend as appropriate.

•      Active monitoring of the sectors and portfolios covered, and communication to senior management locally and in Paris as appropriate. Participation to Early Warning and SAR meetings as necessary.

•      Contribute to portfolio reviews, preparation of documents for US Risk Committee, audit assessments, loan reviews, or special projects as needed.

•      Data Quality: verify accuracy of, and correct as necessary, data in risk systems (Phidias/Eurecca/RICOS/Anadefi etc.).

•      May also be asked to analyze counterparties in different sectors depending on workloads.
