Job summary
Summary
Position based in New York, within the Risk Division, to assist the Head of CUSO Model Risk Governance within the Enterprise Wide Risk Management Team. The primary mission of the team is to reinforce the local implementation of Credit Agricole SA Group risk monitoring standards while ensuring U.S. specificities and requirements are properly taken into account. The team will be more specifically in charge of:
- Assisting the CUSO Chief Risk Officer to overview the risks of the Combined US Operations.
- Preparing the presentations (in coordination with the relevant departments) for the CUSO Model Risk Management Committee
Responsibilities
Credit Agricole activities in the U.S. consist of Credit Agricole CIB New York (CACIB NY), and Amundi.
The Performance Monitoring Manager will develop and enforce the Model Performance Monitoring for CUSO:
- Gather existing model performance metrics for all models used in the US
Work with First LoD and validation teams to challenge their definition, scope of application, frequency, data, thresholds, and related action plans - Automate the performance monitoring process when possible
Present the status of the Model Performance Monitoring initiative to Senior Management - Gather data, computed performance indicators, and related First LoD justification or action plans at the defined frequency
- Publish semi-annual continuous monitoring reports, Identify additional needs in term of reporting and report to appropriate bodies
- Report US model performance to the CUSO Model Risk Management Committee and up to US Risk Committees as needed
In addition, as member of CUSO Model Risk Governance team:
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of the CUSO model inventory
- Manage Model validation findings, including tracking and escalation
- Calculate and report Key Risk Indicators in relation to Model Risk Appetite and Model Risk Management efficiency
- Assist with the development and administration of Model Risk Management framework
- Assist in preparing Committee materials
- Oversee and develop frameworks, policies, processes, and procedures designed to ensure risk identification, aggregation, mitigation, and monitoring capabilities in compliance with the sound operation of both business and regulatory requirements.

The Risk Division in New York is consistently strengthening its risk framework to provide the most refined monitoring and meet the expectations of the regulators. The team member will –
- Assist on this project, by ensuring the implementation of solid methodologies, clearly documented. This project, in addition to be critical issues put forward by the FED, will provide a unique transverse view on the risks of the Credit Agricole activities in the U.S.
- Follow up on upcoming new regulatory requirements and their impact for the Risk division

Minimal education level
Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent
Academic qualification / Speciality
- College degree required in finance/business is preferred
- PMP Certification
- FRM Certification

Experience
- 7-15 years banking experience in Risk Division with a significant exposure to models (e.g. model development, validation, model risk governance, audit)
- Good knowledge and understanding of model performance monitoring across different model types (e.g. pricing, market risk, credit risk, liquidity, compliance)
- Project management experience
- Successful experience in implementing US regulatory requirements
- Successful experience in defining, implementing and/or monitoring model performance indicators
Required skills
