Summary

 

The TMT Coverage Banker will support the Head of TMT Coverage Asia, to develop and manage a portfolio of Technology, Media & Telecoms (“TMT”) / New Economy Corporate clients, in coordination with in-country bankers. The TMT Coverage Banker will be in charge of a selected portfolio of TMT clients and responsible for prospecting and onboarding new clients as well as identifying new opportunities from the existing portfolio.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

·  Develop or to assist in developing, a lasting and profitable relationship for the Bank with its clients and strengthen its position against competitors
·  Develop the Net Banking Income after liquidity costs
·  Ensure business mix quality through cross selling (products and geographies) on full CACIB / CA Group service offering
·  Optimize resources (RWA, Liquidity …)
·  Maximize profitability
·  Monitor the risk profile of his/her client portfolio
·  Report regularly about major events such as business opportunity with clients, commercial incident and significant change in client’s profitability, administrative issues to the solved, sector developments relevant to the client base
·  Understand client’s strategy, businesses and financial situation, and anticipate its needs for financial services.  Assume significant levels of responsibility for the various phases of project and transaction execution, new business development and overall growth of the firm
·  Understand specificities, challenges, stakes linked to TMT sector
·  Map client internal organization, identify key decision makers (CEO, CFO, CIO, etc.), develop with them strong relationships and foster multi-products/multi-countries relationships between the Bank and the client. 
·  Work closely with clients on financing transactions and guide them through the capital raising process, including leading due diligence and drafting sessions and preparing them for an equity or debt offering
·   Lead and coordinate client teams facing client, offering the best of our “know how” to find the appropriate solutions suited to its needs, and develop cross-selling at CA CIB level and group level when appropriate
·   Obtain quality, profitable mandates of financial operations, in line with CSPs (business lines, geographies, sectors), and optimize scarce resources of the Bank (RWA, Liquidity)
·   Maximize volumes and profitability of the investment flows and hedging flows given to our market teams
·   Foster our credit distribution and liquidity collection

Minimal education level

Postgraduate degree – MA/MSc/PhD/Doctorate or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

• MBA or Master’s degree in Business from reputable institution preferred

Level of minimal experience

11 years and more

Experience

• 7-10 years of experience in the financial services industry in Greater China and/or internationally

• Experience with large corporate clients, capital markets products, derivatives, credit, cash/trade, finance and securities products

Technical skills required
