Job summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically strong Associate to join our Corporate Loan Origination team in London. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the origination, structuring, and execution of syndicated and bilateral loan transactions for corporate clients across Western Europe and the Middle East.
Key Responsibilities:
Origination & Structuring:
- Support the end-to-end process of loan origination, including credit analysis, financial modelling, and structuring of financing solutions.
- Prepare term sheets, mandate letters, and contribute to client negotiations alongside senior originators and Coverage teams.
- Conduct market and credit research to support transaction recommendations and syndication strategies.
Transaction Execution:
- Assist in the preparation of internal transaction documentation, including Business Opportunity Memos, Transaction Requests, and profitability analysis.
- Coordinate with borrowers, legal counsel, and banking partners to ensure timely and successful transaction execution.
- Review and contribute to legal documentation and syndication materials.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with internal teams including Coverage, CLF product lines, Distribution (DAR), Legal, and Sustainable Banking.
- Maintain strong working relationships with external stakeholders including clients, partner banks, and legal advisors.

Minimal education level
Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent
Academic qualification / Speciality
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Finance or related discipline preferred.
Experience
- Prior experience with a corporate and investment bank, ideally within loan syndication, structured finance, corporate banking, or credit analysis.
Required skills
- Strong financial and credit analysis capabilities, including financial modelling and understanding of legal documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, resilience under pressure, and a collaborative mindset.
