We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a recent graduate to join our Coverage and Investment Banking department as an MNC Coverage Intern. This entry-level position is tailored for individuals who have recently completed a degree in Business, Economics, Banking, or Finance, and are looking to kickstart their career in Corporate and Investment Banking. The role involves supporting MNC Coverage officers in financial analysis, KYC requirements, and internal client performance reviews. It requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and a foundational understanding of corporate and investment banking. Additionally, you will assist the Head of UK Coverage and Investment Banking with strategic topics, providing a comprehensive introduction to the financial services industry.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Assist with the end-to-end preparation of files for Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements
- Conduct financial and credit analysis of existing and prospective clients, including support for credit papers and related packages
- Support internal credit processes and client and sectorial research
- Prepare pitch books and client presentations, and assist with client and bank marketing materials
- Analyse revenues, returns, and other profitability parameters of specific clients or portfolios
- Organise, attend, and write up meetings, and follow clients’ strategies, such as around energy transition
- Help expand the MNC Coverage portfolio and identify potential new UK prospects
- Liaise with other departments of the bank including the international network of CACIB, product specialists, risks, back office, middle office, compliance, and legal
- Undertake any other business-related activity across CIB, within and outside the ambit of MNC clients
- Work with and assist the Head of UK Coverage and Investment Banking on strategic topics like medium-term strategy, profitability analyses, risk-weighted assets optimization, and budgeting
- Provide ad hoc support for strategic analysis, reporting to management, and specific projects
