Join our UK M&A division in London where you will be part of a well-established team dedicated to M&A, known as UK GIB. The team are responsible with leading the origination and execution of M&A mandates primarily in the infrastructure, power, renewables and energy transition, TMT Infra and other sectors. This role will afford the successful applicant an enriching experience with a broad scope of responsibilities including but not limited to:
involvement in the preparation of marketing pitches, involvement with the execution of mandates on both the buy and sell side, assisting senior members of the team with financial analysis and the preparation of presentation materials/transaction support documents.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Working as part of CA-CIB’s Global Investment Banking division, the intern should contribute to the origination and execution of M&A transactions within the relevant sectors, including
- Assistance in preparation of marketing pitches in full co-ordination with the rest of the GIB team, Sector Coverage, and financing product teams
- Assistance in the execution of mandates (buy side or sell side): process organisation, assistance in financial analysis and presentation materials, creation of transaction support documents;
- Review in-house training materials to get up to speed on valuations and other M&A skills;
- Seek and receive guidance from other M&A bankers on technical aspects;
- Attend team meetings and participate in the day-to-day life of the department.
