Summary
Maintains and develops commercial banking relationship with existing portfolio of multinational companies with focus on cross-selling of various different business lines of the Bank; assist team head on Vietnam portfolio and on prospecting; assist to prepare reports and handle special projects of the MNC desk.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop his own portfolio of MNC clients. This includes, under the guidance of the Team Head,
- Understand/ analyze client’s strategy, businesses and financial standing, and anticipate his needs for services
- Understand/ analyze specificities, challenges, stakes linked to client industry or sector
- Co-ordinate with different business lines in marketing commercial banking products, in particular, short term credit, guarantees (financial and non-financial), cash management/ pooling, liquidity collection, trade finance, foreign exchange / Global Markets Division. In essence, to cross sell various products and services, with an aim to maximize revenues as well as the risk adjusted return on capital.
- Develop close relationship with working level of the client. Assist to identify the internal organization and key decision makers of the client
- Interface with clients on day-to-day service issues / product enquiries; With the assistance of a trainee, co-ordinate with Operation departments or Business Lines to solve any commercial incident or operational and compliance issues
- Report to the Team Head on any new business opportunity with clients, significant change in client’s profitability; and if necessary, any administrative issues to be solved.
- Credit Risk Management
- Perform comprehensive review and assessment of risks, preparing credit packages; and on time completion of annual credit review
- Proactively monitoring the risk profile of client portfolio, managing risks related to each transaction, along with the concerned business line, to anticipate default situations and minimize specific provisioning
- Documentation negotiation with client – independently liaise with Legal and Credit Documentation unit to negotiate all necessary documentation with client.
- Handle Korean FRN bookings; and if necessary, provide support on offshore bookings from CACIB network.
- Assist Team Head on managing the Vietnam portfolio, helping in credit files and bookings.
- Comply with the compliance principles and internal rules as well as law, rules of external regulatory bodies; Proper application of these rules/laws in the management of the client portfolio; e.g. role of RM in charge of on boarding or updating the KYC files of clients etc.

Preferably at least 4 years’ experience in credit and / or marketing experience in commercial banking field and with exposure to multinational corporations

- Possess commercial banking product knowledge and/or experience – i.e. loans, trade finance, supply chain financing, foreign exchange and derivatives, syndications, cash management/ pooling etc.

Languages
Fluent in English, Cantonese and Putonghua; French is an advantage; Good written English & Chinese
