Summary
The Credit Agricole CIB Sustainable Banking team is dedicated to servicing CACIB clients and business lines on all ESG and sustainable finance matters.
The Sustainable Banking team is located in Paris, New York and Hong Kong and is a leader in sustainable financing for global clients. The team boasts deep expertise in social and environmental topics and close relationships with ESG investors, specialized impact investors and borrowers with key social and environmental objectives. The team leads sustainable transactions working alongside CACIB originators, syndicates and sales team members and advises on latest developments in the space.
The Sustainable Banking Associate/Sr. Associate/Jr. VP, Latam will report directly to the Head of Sustainable Banking for the Americas.
Key Responsibilities
· Interface directly with Latam clients and run the sustainable debt execution for Latam deals
· Provide sector analysis and monitoring of the Green, Social and Sustainability Bonds and Loans market;
· Analysis of projects eligible for sustainable debt transactions;
· Assist in the preparation of pitches, proposals, newsletters and any relevant materials for the origination process;
· Promote the general awareness of CACIB’s global sustainable debt capabilities through proactive marketing and events;
· Support in the internal education of coverage, DCM and GMD teams regarding sustainable debt instruments (e.g. Green Bonds, Social Bonds, Sustainability Linked Loans) for the Latam market to ensure sufficient market expertise; and
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
§ The role requires fluency in English and Spanish. Portuguese is a plus but not required

· Minimum 3 - 6 years of relevant experience preferably in financial services (ideally within debt capital markets and/or investment banking), responsible investing, sustainability consulting and/or corporate sustainability.
· Demonstrated knowledge of and passion for sustainability issues, sustainable investing industry trends and the sustainable bond and loan market.
· Experience executing and structuring sustainable debt transactions as well as writing or opining on sustainable debt frameworks across bonds and loans
· Strong attention to detail and analytical skills a must.
· Ideal candidate has experience with corporate sustainability reporting, ESG rating methodology, carbon intensities, transition pathway initiative, SBTi, and The Green and Social Bond Principles.
· Experience working with Latam clients
