The Programme
This Summer Internship Programme offers practical work experience in a large, global investment bank. You will be able to gain valuable insight into the legal team and further develop your skills and knowledge with guidance from business leaders and surrounding team.
The eight - twelve-week programme will run during summer 2024. You will attend an induction and networking session during the first week. Throughout the programme, you will be assigned meaningful tasks by your team with clear objectives and responsibilities outlined weekly. This programme will be a hands on experience in order to help set you up for a successful career, once graduated.
Responsibilities
The intern will undertake general legal regulatory research and analysis and assist the team with a variety of tasks, including with the organisation and administration of each team’s activities.
· Assist with providing legal and regulatory advice where required by teams within Legal, including legal research and advice in relation to the permissibility and appropriateness of transactions/other proposed activities and/or providing legal regulatory updates which may affect those teams
· Assist with providing regulatory updates both within the Legal department and externally
· Assisting with the preparation or approval of legal risks maps (or contributing to other department risk maps) for permanent and internal control purposes
Candidate Criteria
To be eligible for the programme, you must be an undergraduate who will be returning to University after you have completed the internship. No previous experience is required, we are looking for students who are intrigued and motivated to learn more about the financial world and are committed to learning more about Law.
