Job summary

We’re looking for a driven and curious individual to join our FI Solutions franchise in the UK, focusing on rates and secured funding solutions for a diverse client base including UK Pension & Insurance firms, Building Societies, and Commercial Banks.

This is a unique opportunity to join a high-growth solutions sales team on the trading floor. The role involves interacting with clients on market activities, creating tailored hedging and investment solutions, and building an in-depth knowledge of market dynamics and the regulatory environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Market and develop bespoke trade ideas across interest rates and/or secured funding solutions to institutional clients.
  • Execute derivatives transactions (linear/non-linear) and respond to RFQs, ensuring compliance with established risk management procedures and firm policy.
  • Coordinate with the structuring team to develop and implement relevant hedging solutions and investment themes, based on an in-depth understanding of regulatory and accounting developments affecting clients.
  • Cultivate client relationships to enhance the bank's relevance with existing clients and identify new prospective clients across multiple sectors (e.g., Pension, Insurance, Banks, and SSAs). Actively promote cross-selling opportunities.
  • Deliver consistent pricing for intricate interest rate derivatives packages and asset swap transactions, using the bank’s proprietary pricing tools.
  • Liaise with Relationship Managers and Senior Bankers to identify and pursue marketing opportunities.
  • Plan and organize client visits and meetings.
  • Coordinate and streamline legal negotiations for agreements such as ISDA and CSA. Provide client support for settlement or confirmation issues.
  • Act as primary backup for senior sales personnel on the desk, which includes booking transaction tickets in internal and vendor systems

 

Role requirements

 

  • Demonstrate a keen interest in Fixed Income Markets, combined with strong technical and financial product/derivatives pricing skills.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation abilities, and be an ambitious, hard-working team player.
  • Exhibit a desire to build long-term client relationships and develop into a sector specialist.
  • Successfully complete all required local regulatory and compliance training sessions.
