Job summary

EIG LatAm is the regional platform for the Energy & Infrastructure Group (within SFI) in Latin America. As such, the team covers all sectors for EIG, notably: Power, Infrastructure, Mining and Oil & Gas (RBL, midstream and downstream). The Team acts in several roles within these sectors, including project finance arranging, advisory and from time to time undertakes some coverage responsibilities. Key markets for the team are Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile and Brazil. The team is responsible for originating and executing transactions within this platform, as well as monitoring our portfolio of assets and managing exposures. Work is generally conducted in deal teams and the deal teams change with each transaction, enabling team members to learn from one another and gain experience from a variety of sectors and geographies, as well as from the more senior members of the team. We also work closely with other areas of the bank such as DOD, CIB, GIB, Securitisation and GMD with the goal of serving our customers with the best solutions and maximising cross-sales within the bank.

Main Responsibilities:

·Direct involvement in the structuring, distribution and monitoring of project finance transactions in Latin America (including advisory mandates occasionally): portfolio analysis, annual reviews and waivers, review and creation of financial models, preparation of pitch books, review of due diligence in coordination with lawyers, independent engineers, insurance advisor, accounting and tax advisors, including ensuring consistency with financial model, assistance in negotiation of term sheets / transaction documents.  
·Produce annual reviews for loan monitoring assignments within the existing project finance portfolio. Process waiver requests on existing transactions.
·Process credit applications for approval of transactions including preparation of a summary of transaction, description of main participants and detailed risk analysis, as well as financial modeling and forecasting project outcomes.  
·Communication with clients, on aspects of the transaction that the Associate / Senior Associate is responsible for (e.g. timetables, financial model etc.).
·Participation in marketing efforts and sector research and other commercial or administrative duties.
·Responsibility for certain segments of a transaction as delegated by the deal team leader. Usually most focus in financial modelling.
·Demonstrated team player. Each task requires a strong interaction with the other members of the group; work will generally be within transaction teams.
·Conversational level in Spanish is a requirement. Portuguese is a plus. Knowledge of Latin America is a definite advantage.
·Strong analytical skills and experience in structured credits
·Ability to work under time pressure/multi-task

-Knowledge of Credit Agricole systems such as KIWIS, PHIDIAS, SMAC, Fides, etc. is preferable
