Summary

 

Within, Operations, Premises & Country COOs (OPC) based in Hong Kong, Capital Market Operations (CMO) teams are responsible to process the transaction activities for Credit, Rates, FXMM, Securities and Equities for multiple geographies (APAC and EMEA). There are 2 teams under CMO HK in charge of:

Capital Market Middle Office (CMM)

Capital Market Back Office (CMB)

You will develop various skills: knowledge of financial products, knowledge of the financial market environment, Front to Back processing chain.

 

Key Responsibilities

Trading & Sales Support / PostTrade Support

  • Provide support to Front Office business lines under Global Markets Division during Asian trading hours.
  • Ensure transactional integrity across front and back office applications

  • Deal checking against trade supporting documents and liaise with FO, broker and external counterparties for any trade discrepancy.

  • Perform trade validation, modification, cancellation and/ or trade event processing upon trading approval or when straight through processing is not in placed.

  • For Equity Investment Solution activity, handle dividend and cash flow processing.

  • Provide an efficient post-trade support by ensuring trade information flows efficiently through deal processing from front office to back office system and front-office to front office system

  • Investigate and follow-up of breaks sent by front offices, global operational teams and other internal departments.

Trade Reconciliation team

  • Identify, investigate and follow-up of trade breaks identified during the front to back or front to front reconciliation process with support function teams in Asia and the GULF.
  • Engage in the monitoring and investigation of modification and cancellation alert in CATS systems with front office and middle office teams.
  • Perform regulatory reporting check for Singapore activities.
  • Liaise with global team (Control Tower) on setting change in Glory and CATS

 

Market Data Administration (MDA) Team

  • Daily management of the Market Data: Creation of different instruments and data control in the referential data base CARD (CA-CIB Architecture Referential Data) and several FO/BO systems, management of event/corporate actions affecting the stock of instruments, requests raised by application users related to CARD
  • Improvement of the Market Data quality within the bank. Based on the analysis of the current process of data collection, control and data distribution, you will work on process optimization.
  • Work with front, middle and back office department to resolve market data related issues.

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

Degree holder from discipline in Finance, Mathematics or Engineering

Experience

Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in Middle Office environment is necessary

 

Required skills

  • Good analytical, organizational and interpersonal skill

  • Comfortable with multi-tasking and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong attention to details and a self-starter who is highly motivated.

Technical skills required

  • Good knowledge of financial products and understanding of the operational risks involved in Fixed Income and FX products
  • Technical Skills: Bloomberg, Reuters, MO Pack-Office (PWT, Excel)
  • Versatile with PC tools and applications, e.g. MS Office, VBA

Languages

• Fluency in English. Proficient in French or other Asian languages a plus
