Summary
The Credit Agricole CIB Sustainable Banking team is dedicated to servicing CACIB clients and business lines on all ESG and sustainable finance matters.
The Sustainable Banking team is located in Paris, New York and Hong Kong and is a leader in sustainable financing for global clients. The team boasts deep expertise in social and environmental topics and close relationships with ESG investors, specialized impact investors and borrowers with key social and environmental objectives. The team leads sustainable transactions working alongside CACIB originators, syndicates and sales team members and advises on latest developments in the space.
The Senior Originator at the VP or Director level will be responsible – within the Sustainable Banking team - to support the Bank’s corporate clients with their sustainable finance operations, in collaboration with the different Business Lines and report directly to the Head of Sustainable Banking for the Americas.
Key Responsibilities
The senior banker will be in charge to support clients in their sustainable finance transactions. The main Senior Originator’s tasks will therefore be to:
· Set qualitative relationships with the different Business Lines and the client’s Senior Bankers in order to identify and generate business opportunities;
· Define tailor-made solutions and pitch the whole CACIB sustainable finance product offering and follow-up and monitor this commercialization;
· Structure and execute the mandates originated, in partnership with the concerned Business Lines;
· Be proactive in proposing new commercial approaches, new structures, new Investment Banking sustainable finance products, etc.;
· Set close relationships with the different stakeholders of the market (e.g. ESG rating agencies, investors, other banking actors, etc.);
· Have and maintain an excellent level of expertise and knowledge on the sustainable finance market, so as to maintain CACIB as one of the major actors in the market;
· Set efficient and trustworthy working relationship with CACIB Business Lines and the other members of the Sustainable Banking team, in France and abroad;
· Supervise junior analysts of the Sustainable Banking team (incl. trainees)
Handle any other tasks necessary to the proper processing and development of the Sustainable Banking activity.

· Minimum 7 - 10 years of relevant experience preferably in financial services (ideally within debt capital markets and/or investment banking), responsible investing, sustainability consulting and/or corporate sustainability.
· Commercial experience with Investment Banking clients and significant knowledge on the products offered by CACIB
· Solid understanding of the sustainable finance products and challenges, experience on Sustainable Development
· Ability to drive revenue and business across products and clients with a strong track record in previous roles

• Series 7, 63, 79 licenses strongly preferred but not required
