Job summary

The Head of FSG APAC oversees commercial development and management of Private Capital fund financing for asset managers present in the APAC region from Singapore.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

1. Management & Commercial Strategy

  • Define and drive commercial strategy with a selective and cross-functional approach, aligned with FSG objectives
  • Collaborate closely with managers from other geographic regions to ensure global budget achievement
  • Strengthen strategic partnerships with key asset managers by developing:
  1. The franchise on EBFs (Equity Bridge Facilities)
  2. Relationship mandates (Fronting Bank, Facility Agent, ESG Agent, Coordinator)
  3. Complex financing solutions (NAV & Hybrid Facilities, Equity Bridge Loans, Manco Financings, Bridge to Bridge, SMA...) in synergy with Structuring, Research & Analysis teams
  • Actively participate in annual budget preparation, ensure rigorous monitoring and cost control

 

2. Origination & Execution

  • Identify and develop commercial opportunities in the APAC region through detailed analysis of client needs, in close collaboration with Coverage and FSG teams worldwide
  • Structure and negotiate commercial and legal terms (term sheets, documentation...), leveraging on Paris structuring team expertise for complex transactions
  • Lead the credit approval process ensuring quality and robustness of files presented to committees, jointly with the Paris structuring team on highly technical transactions
  • Coach and develop junior team members in execution
  • In Asia orchestrate (in Australia, oversee) end-to-end transaction execution in coordination with Risk, Legal, AMO and Back-Office to ensure deadline compliance and conformity

 

3. Portfolio Monitoring & Development

  • Develop business to maximize NBI while optimizing profitability and capital allocation
  • Ensure dynamic facility management: guarantee issuance, amendment negotiation, banking syndicate coordination and co-lender coordination
  • Lead renewals and annual reviews by anticipating client needs and proposing solutions adapted to their evolving requirements
  • In close co-ordination with Coverage, identify and realize cross-selling opportunities in synergy with GFD and all CACIB business lines

 

Management and Reporting

The Head of FSG APAC reports to:

  • Line manager: Head of CLF APAC
  • Functional manager: Global Head of FSG

 

Control and Risks

  • As Origination Manager, oversees the credit process for implemented financing, which involves regular discussions with Risk (RPC FSP), CLF Management and participation in credit committees (CLFCom, CRC)
  • Also ensures proper risk management on credit aspects (compliance with CSP intervention criteria), as well as operational and legal aspects

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or relevant discipline.

Level of minimal experience

11 years and more

Experience

Minimum 10 years of experience in structured finance / investment banking with extensive experience in corporate origination.

Required skills

  • Strong network with key stakeholders of corporate clients in the region.
  • Excellent credit and financial analytical skills.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
