Job summary

Main Responsibilities:
1. Agency & Transaction Management

  • Confirmation and monitoring of Conditions Precedent (CPs) prior to loan activation
  • Monitoring scheduled activities across loan portfolios including drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, and interest settlements
  • Liaising with Borrowers and Lenders to ensure timely execution of loan lifecycle events
  • Coordinating with external legal counsel on facility documents, amendments, waivers and legal consents
  • Working closely with Front Office and Credit Monitoring Risk team to ensure all relevant approvals and signoffs are obtained for any Agency-led decisions.
  • Provide input and comments on loan documentation (Agency/Participation/Bilateral facilities)
  • Monitor and oversee the processing of loan related activities including drawdown, rollover, fee/interest apportionment, repayments, etc.
  • Ensure loan portfolio remains accurate and compliant within internal banking systems
  • Monitor Borrowers compliance with submission of documentary and financial covenants and process/coordinate waiver request if required
  • Attend to queries from Borrowers, Lenders, Investors, and transactional partners in a timely and professional manner
  • Support the operational management of credit risk insurance arrangements linked to financing transactions, including coordination with the insurers, monitoring policy conditions, premium payments, and insured exposure reporting


2. Business Partnership and Stakeholder Coordination

  • Partner closely with Front Office and Coverage teams to support deal execution and ensure operational readiness for new transactions
  • Provide operational guidance during the structuring and closing phases of transactions to ensure efficient implementation

 

3. Cash Transactions and Client Services

  • Providing indicative loan or deposit rates to clients on a daily or weekly basis where required
  • Liaise with Treasury for base rates and confirm applicable margins with Front Office prior to communicating to clients
  • Coordinate with Finance where large transactions require monitoring of regulatory or prudential ratios
  • Managing bilateral loans and deposits processing for clients in scope
  • Respond to Client’s queries relating to account balances, facility utilization, account statement, and audit confirmations
  • Provide client services and support for cash management activities where applicable.


4. Risk, Controls, & Governance

  • Ensure that all transactions are executed within approved credit approval conditions, documentation, target operating model and regulatory frameworks
  • Monitor portfolio triggers, utilization, and exception items with timely escalation where necessary, and prepare portfolio monitoring reports
  • Contribute to audit readiness and internal control processes

Supplementary Information

5. Process Enhancement & Automation

  • Support workflow improvement through process automation and operational efficiency initiatives, including the use of AI internal tool, automation tools and excel macros
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and tool enhancements
  • Contribute to the initiative aimed at improving data accuracy, operational controls and transaction efficiency

6. Broader FCS Participation

  • Contribute to ongoing development of the FCS Target Operating model (TOM) and departmental transformation initiatives
  • Support ad hoc projects, new activity and cross-functional improvement initiatives within FCS
  • Act as subject matter resource for Agency and transaction management processes and provide training to junior team member if needed
  • Support any ad-hoc tasks depending on the team capacity

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

A bachelor’s degree or higher level of education in Banking & Finance

Level of minimal experience

6-10 years

Experience

  • At least 6-12 years’ relevant experience in Banking and Middle Office, Agency and Loan Operations, syndicated lending operations, client servicing, transaction banking within corporate investment Banking
  • Strong understanding of syndicated loan structures, facility agreements, and loan lifecycle management.
  • Experience coordinating complex transactions across multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

  • Effective communicator and collaborative team player with strong client service orientation.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, eager to learn, proactive, and multitasking to manage priority
  • Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness

  • Fluency in English and Mandarin (oral and written)

Technical skills required

  • Advanced excel capabilities, including ability to build and maintain VBA/macros and reporting tools.
