Job summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trainee to join our Financial Institutions Group (FIG). This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate banking, financial analysis, and relationship management within a global financial environment.

 

Key responsibilities

1. Support for Senior Banker & RM

  • Assist Senior Banker & RM in FIG-related work
  • Conduct open-source research on relevant businesses and gather market information to draft, create, and edit memos, notes, and reports

 

2. KYC & RLC Management

  • Cooperate with GMD Onboarding and GRM Teams on the creation and maintenance of KYC & RLC
  • Keep KYC & RLC databases up to date by providing updated and accurate data
  • Perform due diligence and financial analysis of potential, existing, and newly on-boarding FI clients
  • Manage and meet deadlines for each KYC file

 

3. Internal & External Coordination

  • Maintain close liaison with various internal parties and customers to provide necessary assistance and information

 

4. Transaction & Product Support

  • Provide timely assistance in commercial transactions and support GMD products.
  • Monitor, update, and verify credit limits and outstanding balances for Korean banks

 

5. Reporting & Data Integrity

  • Assist Senior Banker & RM in updating FIG reports on the Intranet
  • Verify the accuracy of data and take corrective measures on any discovered discrepancies

 

6. Market Intelligence

  • Assist to provide Senior Banker & RM with relevant information to keep them updated on market changes

 

7. Committee & Administrative Tasks

  • Participate as a member of the Weekly Business Committee to consolidate the updated deal status of business lines
  • Draft and distribute Committee Minutes
  • Assist with other FIG-related work and perform administrative tasks

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

  • Candidates who have completed all graduation requirements and are available to start work from March
  • Candidates with less than one year of post-graduation work experience

Level of minimal experience

0-2 years

Experience

  • Strong interest in Banking and Financial Institutions (FIG)
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to conduct effective open-source research
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Korean (written and verbal)
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under tight deadlines
