Job summary

This role supports the Global Head of CRI in all endeavours related to the execution of CRI & Surety activity in CACIB, including developing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, building up the deal flow with the business lines, managing all aspects of the execution of CRI activity within EMEA and supporting CRI liaisons globally. 

This role requires fully developed time management and multi-tasking skills, with accuracy and meeting deadlines being of essential importance.


Key Responsibilities 

  1. Execute new CRI & Surety activity within CACIB in line with the DOD CRI & DOD Surety Policies and Procedures Manuals, including inter alia:
    • Follow checklist procedures;
    • Liaise with deal teams regarding the status of capacity search on a deal by deal basis;
    • Negotiate and execute Master Confidentiality Undertakings with insurers and brokers;
    • Perform all the necessary confidentiality checks on each transaction;
    • Draft and execute Adherence Letters to back to back confidentiality obligations with the Client NDA;
    • Review and consolidate the broker’s market feedback and status reports and share this with the deal team;
    • Check counterparty CRI envelopes; approve and record exposure if capacity is available, request envelope increases where necessary;
    • Investigate tax implications;
    • Review deal information packages and ensure they are compliant with internal procedures;
    • Prepare the CRI Opinion section for DOD Opinions and Closing Memos;
    • Adapt day-to-day workflow to meet internal and external client’s needs;
    • Liaise with internal and external legal counsel as needed.
  2. Negotiate and bind CRI policy wording:
    • Attain proficiency in CRI policy wording;
    • Gain familiarity with key aspects of insurance law terms and regulatory requirements for capital relief;
    • Develop expertise in other types of risk transfer documentation:  Master Trade Insurance Policy, Master Risk Participation Agreements, etc;
    • Acquire ability to amend and adapt policy wording for specific transactions;
    • Develop business line specific template policy wordings;
  3. Coordinate and assist with CRI & Surety activity for the Americas and Asia Pacific regions
    • Assist with execution of CRI & Surety placement
    • Oversee on-boarding of new counterparties
    • Submit CRI envelope requests for new counterparties as required
    • Assess tax implications per jurisdiction
    • Manage all aspects of policy wording negotiation
    • Allocate CRI envelope capacity to transactions
    • Liaise with local MO teams as necessary
  4. Provide / input data for timely reporting including:
    • Pipeline reports;
    • P&L reporting;
    • CRI & Surety exposure reporting and reconciliation;
    • KYC and RICOS IDs;
    • Activity reports
  5. Play an integral role in the internal and external marketing efforts for CRI, including:

  7. Assist with the creation of CRI envelopes and updating CRI envelopes for insurers, including:

Minimal education level
