Job summary

 

Join our Central Compliance team, responsible for overseeing transversal compliance and regulatory matters within a dynamic and evolving environment. This internship offers a comprehensive learning opportunity, ideal for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in regulatory projects, internal and external reporting, and compliance training among other areas. The successful candidate will be proactive, flexible, and quick to learn, with strong administrative and organisational skills.

 

 

Key Responsibilities are, but not limited to:

 

  • Assist in the production of internal reporting, including data collection, consolidation, and quality checks for monthly Management Information, Committee packs, and reporting to Head Office
  • Review information from group entities to prepare draft controls and 8.3 disclosures with the guidance of team members
  • Coordinate Compliance e-Learning training, run staff training reports, produce statistics on training completion, and assist with technical issues
  • Help organise face-to-face training and maintain the Compliance intranet
  • Draft compliance communications and assess existing compliance awareness actions to identify improvements and implement corrective actions
  • Perform routine review and control work as defined in the annual control plan, escalate system and control issues, and track all identified issues to conclusion
  • Perform ad hoc tasks and provide backup support as directed

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

  • Graduated within the past 18 months and have a 2:1 or equivalent 

Experience

• Experience from an internship at a wholesale investment bank or financial services firm is highly desirable

Required skills

• General compliance experience and a working understanding of a risk management framework.
• Strong administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on diplomacy and tact.
• Confident, adaptable, and detail-oriented.
• Proactive with a 'can do' attitude, able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines.

Technical skills required

• IT literacy, particularly in MS Office, and basic project management and analytical skills
