Job summary

Opportunity to work in a Global team focusing on the management/trading of Credit and Funding risks for the Global Markets activity. This is a Front office role suitable for a motivated individual to be part of a growing mandate on XVA & Scarce Resource management, and with a focus on developing new technologies to assist with the management of the Derivatives activity.

Job description
Responsible to help manage the Counterparty, Capital and Funding risks for the XVA Trading Desk. This includes pricing the various adjustments for the derivatives business, improving the infrastructure of XVA computations as well as assisting with the ongoing improvement of XVA pricing methodologies. The XVA Trading team has a Global presence covering all regions and products within the Global Markets Division of CA-CIB.


Key Responsibilities

  • Actively contribute to the key XVA desk mandates : pricing and risk management of XVAs, and optimisation of Scarce Resources.
  • Advise and explain to Sales, Trading and Coverage, and whenever necessary to clients via Sales, any subject concerning XVA.
  • Participate actively in methodology improvements concerning XVAs: development of new models, parameterisations, quantitative studies.
  • Development of the XVA Desk ecosystem and infrastructure, using new technologies where applicable (e.g. Machine Learning, Portfolio Optimisation).
  • Report to the Head of XVA Trading Desk on Market activity impacting XVAs, and other related issues.
  • Liaise with the control and support functions (Market Risk, Credit Risk, Legal, IT, Middle/Back office and Finance).

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

-Degree, preferably in a Mathematical / Economic or Scientific area

Technical skills required

Essential experience:

  • Experience in financial products / derivatives markets and related trading/ risk management activities.

Desirable experience:

  • Experience in XVA (CVA/FVA/LVA/MVA/KVA) topics
  • Experience in Capital Optimisation / Scarce Resource Management
  • Knowledge of Basel III and other regulatory indicators
  • Experience in Trading and Risk Managing a trading book.

Essential: IT literate.

  • Strong numerical, analytical and spreadsheet skills.
  • Python, GitLab, VBA, C++ skills desirable
