Job summary

**This position will be under the Employee Referral Program in Hong Kong.

Department: Structured Finance Asia

Team: Ship Finance

Assists the Head of Ship Finance and senior team members in developing and implementing the business strategies and plans of Ship Finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advice and support client management in the area of strategic financial planning, and investment analysis
  • Develop and maintain contacts with clients and monitor development with clients’ business and their overall funding and financing requirements
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of transactions with clients and participating financial institutions within established credit, compliance and pricing parameters
  • Identify new clients and business opportunities
  • Ensure all credit and compliance processes are complied with and maintain a problem-free portfolio
  • Research on market trends, as well as economic, political and industry conditions and advice the senior team members on the impact to the business in order to plan ahead and formulate the business direction
  • Assist the overall team in achieving the yearly goals and budgets set by and agreed with management
  • Ensures all internal and external regulatory requirements are met

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

• Degree in business administration, finance or relevant discipline

Level of minimal experience

6-10 years


• 6 years of relevant working experience in Ship Finance in Asia-Pacific or otherwise relevant to the position

Required skills

• Ability to deal with multi tasks and work within a dynamic and evolving environment
• Excellent influencing and communication skills - both written and verbal
• Strong interpersonal, presentation and influencing skills

Technical skills required

• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Outlook)
• Experience in financial modelling skills
• Accounting knowledge, banking tools and regulations, Practice of laws are an advantage


• Excellent written and spoken English and Cantonese required
