Job summary

The main missions include:

Regulatory Relations:

-          Manage and coordinate the Bank’s overall relationships with various banking regulators in the U.S. including

o    FRB, NY DFS, Illinois, Texas, and other state regulators

-          Coordinate with colleagues concerning communications with European regulators

On behalf of Credit Agricole’s US entities:

-          Participate in maintaining efficient and consistent communications between the Bank and its regulators

-          Effectively and completely respond to periodic regulatory inquiries,

-          Manage and coordinate the bank examination process for routine and enhanced continuous monitoring reviews conducted by relevant U.S. regulatory authorities and European regulatory authorities, as required, including but not limited to:

o    Coordinate pre-examination readiness communications, internal preparation meetings, touch-point meetings with examination and on-site teams, touch point meetings, and post examination close meetings

o    Coordinate responses to information requests and arrange meetings with relevant personnel.

o    Coordinate responses to follow up requests made by regulators during exams and enhanced continuous monitoring reviews

o    Escalate any identified issues to management on a timely basis

Methodology and Process:

-          Maintain Policies and Procedures concerning communications with US regulators and exam management

Remediation of Corrective Actions

-          Track status of management of corrective actions in response to bank regulatory examination,

-          Organize and participate in internal progress meetings with stakeholders and management concerning corrective actions

Regulatory strategy and initiatives:

-          Review and evaluate the implications of new regulations concerning the Banks’ businesses, customers and products and assist in the development of applicable policies and procedures.

Manage the Regulatory Coordination team:

-          Manage the team in charge of the regulatory coordination,

-          Coordinate with regulatory remediation staff and senior Compliance officers for CUSO entities.

 

Salary range: $225,000 - $300,000

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

BA/BA; Masters degree or JD desirable

Level of minimal experience

11 years and more

Experience

-At least 10 years of professional experience, mostly in Investment Bank environments concerning control functions, and/or regulatory experience.  

-Experience with international financial organizations.

-Experience in working for or dealing with US banking regulators
