Job summary


 Working with members of the London and Paris TMT Finance team with coverage of the sector, the development and
management of relationships and the risks of a portfolio of structured and vanilla assets, participation in the origination,
structuring and closing of complex structured or leveraged transactions. It is likely there will also be opportunities to work
in direct collaboration with members of the London based LTFG and Acquisition Finance and Advisory teams (who are
also part of the CLF division) on specific transactions.
Management and reporting

 Reporting to Department Head on an ongoing basis.
Key Responsibilities

 Financial modelling / preparation of funding structures in support of pitches and bids for complex leveraged transactions in the
Telecom environment (alongside Paris or London based Telecom department members).

 Undertake detailed negotiation of and analysis of structures and documentation to lead to successful transaction close.

 Management of risk which involves
- Annual reviews, Monthly management account reviews and covenant checks and facility amendment and waiver

 Analysis of risk which involves
- Assist in the analysis, including assessing industry and structure risk, of new business opportunities through to sanction.
- Assist in preparation of industry sub sectors reports.
- Liaise with risk departments.
- Prepare spreadsheet analysis of new proposals and build cashflow models.

 Monitor the progress of existing transactions and identify opportunities for cross-selling or refinancing which involves
- Ensuring income is received on due dates.
- Ensuring all reports to Risk Department are submitted on due date and they are alerted of any material breaches of the
Terms of Lending.
- Monitoring covenant compliance i.e. the terms of the Loan to be adhered to.
- Client meetings with department head.

 Liaises with other product lines and geographical units to listen to their input and obtain their buy-in early in the process.

 Provide guidance to junior team members on modelling and financial analysis.

 Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the London
Compliance manual and Compliance policies and procedures as issued from time to time; Financial Security requirements,
including, but not limited to, the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud including reporting obligations to the Money
Laundering Reporting Officer.

 Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as
required to attain and maintain competence.

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

Degree level educated

Specialist Training Required: Understanding of corporate finance

Required skills

Ability to communicate at senior levels, both with clients and internally.

Team player

Technical skills required

High level of understanding of sector and risk management to create financial structures appropriate for client needs and bank requirements.

Excellent credit skills, including the use of financial modelling tools.

Good person-management skills.

Ability to identify cross selling opportunities.

Ability to negotiate appropriate legal documentation.


Experience Required:

Demonstrated experience in the banking side of structured telecoms transactions

Good level of contacts in the industry
