Job summary

Summary

Mainly responsible for Rates trading within authorised trading limits, managing KTB PD activities and market-making for KTBs. i.e. the risk parameters and designated currency and product limits. Products range also includes FX spot, FX swap, and other CCY products set by MAM.

Key Responsibilities


1. Strategy and Business Planning
· Formulate trading strategies yearly, monthly, daily by clients’ flow and analysing the latest market data
· Execute transactions accurately and in accordance with established risk management procedures and risk parameters.
· Formulate trading and risk management strategies by analysing the market as well as executing transactions accurately in accordance with established risk management procedures and risk parameters
· Develop CA-CIB’s franchise and pricing capacity in Korea Trading

2. Daily Trading & Administrative Responsibilities
· Executing transactions accurately and in accordance with established local trading procedures and risk parameters
· Being aware of all economic and financial data likely to affect the market and keep updated on market changes
· Actively communicate and help on sharing market information in order to provide updated market colour to clients and to execute all client transactions
· Pricing and executing client’s trades and hedging trades, ensuring the price must be adequately compensated for the level of principal risk and the amount of balance sheet usage in respect to CVA (CVA charges will be given by Sales)
· Timely recording by entering all transactions into front office trading systems in line with applicable trading procedures in effect.
· Trades are predominantly in the following emerging market currencies: KRW, but other currencies are allowed to trade for hedging

3. Management and Reporting
· Regularly and immediately report to Head of Korea Trading on any issue related to the business
· If Head of Korea Trading is not available, directly report to LGMD and Head of EM Trading (GMT)

4. Risk
· In conjunction with head of trading, establish overall risk parameters.
· Ensure adherence with regard to position and risk limits, market and counterparty risk.
· Adhering to given risk limits at all times
· Managing and hedging the overall risk of FX and Rates books on daily base
· Ensuring any urgent and emerging problems to be solved by investigating and acting with professional manner
· Proprieties trades within the delegated risk limits and stop-loss limits, expecting client trades

5. Counterparties and clients
· Developing and maintaining relationships with peers in other organisations
· Representing the firm with external organisations (e.g., industry or product committees

6. Communication
· Maintain full understating with the Sales desks regarding shared business and client needs as well as attending regular conference calls with both onshore and offshore sales team in addition to business trip to meet client directly.
