Job summary


  •  Member of a Global team with physical presence in London, Paris, New York and Hong Kong. Core Mission is; ‘To provide a comprehensive Regulatory Onboarding solution to the Global Markets Division (“GMD”), balancing commercial goals, with robust operational integrity’.
  •  Staff member will be based in New York and will work in coordination with all other members of the global GMD Onboarding Team.
  • Analyst work to ensure high quality standards are maintained for GMD Regulatory requirements

Key Responsibilities

  •  The primary focus of the role will be on KYC analysis, including both new Onboarding and “life-cycle”. This will be a direct client-facing role, with constant client contact, typically by email / phone.

Regulatory Onboarding

  • Provision of Regulatory Onboarding solution, focused on business-as usual, pre-trade elements, across:
    • KYC
    • Dodd Frank
    • EMIR
    • FATCA
    • MIFID
    • Prime Brokerage
    • AML
    • Capital Markets regulatory Onboarding

Regulatory Integrity

  • Ensuring service delivery is balanced with robust operational integrity, managing core Regulatory Onboarding related ‘life-cycle’ activities, including;
    • Periodic KYC Review,
    • Remediation topics,
    • All necessary controls,
    • Implementation of KYC initiatives,
    • Off boarding


Onboarding Knowledge

  • Ensuring effective and compliant delivery of GMD’s regulatory obligations, as well as developing appropriate knowledge, against a back-drop of constantly evolving market and regulatory requirements, including;
    • Representation in all relevant meetings and committees,
    • Developing strong market intelligence, and maximising adoption of Onboarding ‘best-practices’,
    • Establishing and maintaining strong regional market and regulatory knowledge,
    • Building and sharing internal Regulatory Onboarding knowledge-base

Project Management

  •  Assist with the management and delivery of a variety of projects related to both delivery and continuous improvement of the Regulatory Onboarding service offering.

Management and reporting

  •  Report to Head of GMD Onboarding Americas as appropriate, regarding progress of the business and specific issues.

Financial Performance


Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities

  •  Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the New York Compliance manual and the Financial Crime Policy.
  • Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Level of minimal experience

3-5 years




·         2-5 years of previous experience of AML/KYC/ Capital Markets regulatory requirements gained within banking or financial services

·         Knowledge of Federal regulations (especially BSA/AML/OFAC)

·         Proficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access.

·         Strong analytical and organizational skills; a proactive and fast learner with an eye for details as well as excellent time management and prioritization skills

·         Strong writing skills, capability to document relevant information in a clear, structured, and comprehensive way and give proper, constructive feedback

·         Excellent time management and prioritization skills with the ability to build strong partnerships with key partners in the KYC workflow

·         Excellent analysis and judgment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

·         A self-starter – ‘self-teaching’ skills are critical to the role.

·         Good communication skills, interact professionally with stakeholders at face-to-face meetings or via phone/email

·         Good understanding of financial regulatory requirements and AML risk implications

·         Fluent in English (written and verbal).


§  Experience dealing with broad range of counter-parties, particularly financial institution clients, asset managers, insurance companies and hedge funds.
