Market products by speaking with customers about their needs, financial markets and propose suitable ideas and recommendations. The approach varies according to the customers and the products.

Identify, target and solicit new customers.
Focus Rates products among GMD Product Lines, with the special focus on EGB, UST, SSA, Swaps, and STM products
Coordinate closely with Global Japan Sales teams located in London and New York
Originate transactions from clients and co-ordinate the efficient execution with the trading desk.
Execute the placement of transactions in accordance with established risk management procedures and risk parameters.
Formulate marketing plans and relate these to marketing opportunities.
Contribute to the formulation of marketing strategies.
Be aware of all economic and financial data which is likely to affect the products being marketed.
Develope knowledge of client needs and co-ordinate the Bank’s efforts to service customer organisations.
Plan and organise client visits and meetings.
Liaise with Relationship Managers / Senior Bankers regarding marketing opportunities.
Aim to meet individual objectives and targets and overall team and product line budget.

Management and Reporting
Report to the Head of Non Yen Flow Sales Department Japan at least weekly on an informal basis on the progress of the business and specific issues.
Attend the daily meeting with sales and trading teams to review market strategy, exchange ideas and receive updates on any important administrative matters.

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

3 years of higher education (L3)

Academic qualification / Speciality

Desirable, degree in a Mathematical subject

Level of minimal experience

6-10 years


Experience in Non-Yen Flow Sales

Good understanding of the IRD product line
Superior sales skills
Extensive market knowledge

IT tools

Strong PC skills.


Fluent English and Japanese mother tongue.
