Department: Internal Audit

 


Summary

Provide support to audit assignments in data extracts, prepare dashboards and presentations for IGE Management.  Participates in IGE projects including but not limited to MATRIX (risk assessment and conduct of assignment tool) , continuous monitoring and OPERA (the Optimization of regulatory required assignments) , ensure the quality of the IGE Asia team via the IGE permanent control plan execution and the quality assurance program

 


Key Responsibilities

I – Data and Tools
-     Provide support to audit assignments: identify relevant data sources, provide data extracts (either through direct access or liaising with the relevant teams or IGE Methods and Support teams)
-     Local administration of IGE tools and support to Asia staff (MyAudit, MySkills, MATRIX, SynerGIA).
-     In liaison with the Asia audit team, automate recurring tests or key processes

II - Reporting
-     Prepare dashboards and presentation for Asia committees, IGE Management or AIBL
-     Improve the production of such reports through automation

III – Policies and procedures
-     Adapt IGE global procedures into IGE Asia specific procedures as and when required. Ensure all IGE Asia procedures are updated regularly.
-     Ensure IGE global procedures are well communicated to all IGE staff in Asia

IV – Implementation of IGE permanent control set-up and quality assurance program within the Asia hub
-     In liaison with the global QAIP manager, the local heads of audit and regional supervisors, coordinate the update of IGE Asia risk and control self-assessments
-     Implement IGE annual control plan in the Asia Hub (incl the quality assurance program). Perform the controls that are allocated to him/her in the defined timeframe. Ensure the controls allocated to other IGE Asia staff are performed adequately and within the defined timeframes. Report the results of the controls to IGE QAIP manager and to the relevant committees in the Americas hub.
-     Follow-up the proper implementation of IGE Asia action plans and recommendations
-     Assist the Regional Head of Asia in the preparation of any external quality assurance reviews 

V – Audit Risk assessment and audit risk mapping
-     Assist in the update the Asia risk assessment and Asia audit risk mapping exercise
-     Assist in the preparation of the annual Asia audit plan

VI – Continuous monitoring
-     Assist in the implementation of and coordinate the Asia continuous monitoring program

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Postgraduate degree – MA/MSc/PhD/Doctorate or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

Educational focus in accounting, finance or related field of study; industry recognized certification preferred (CPA, CIA, CISA)

Level of minimal experience

3-5 years

Experience

Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in banking, at least 1 of which should involve performing of controls and developing of MIs

Required skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly and easily, including in writing

  • Apprehension of results and priorities
  • Autonomy

Technical skills required

  • Strong IT skills particularly in data analytics/business intelligence related tools and languages
