Job summary
The Department and Position
The department is responsible for development and maintenance of Capital Market applications used by worldwide users.
“Run the bank” is the first mission of IT department. It involves many front line IT professionals who understand the nature of business operations, timing of activities & data flowing through internal and external systems. They are continuously working with business users, infrastructure engineer and system managers.
MASAI is an ambitious project critical to the Bank’s strategic pivot towards data-centric operations. In the past, separate systems maintained their data separately, modeling the same data in incompatible ways and depending on ad-hoc and sometimes brittle data sharing mechanisms, creating a complex web of interdependent systems and no centralized repository of data. MASAI was initially created to satisfy regulatory requirements set out by the Basel Committee as part of their FRTB capital rules, but quickly became the central focus in the Bank’s push towards a more data-centric approach. It is based on Big Data technology, which allows horizontally-scalable management of data at and beyond the petabyte scale.
The role will focus primarily on the build and delivery in-house component platform in line with the major global projects with a high value budget. You will lead and keep engage 10 to 15 team members composed by business analyst, technical lead, software developers and L3 Application support.
Main responsibilities
In line with this, you would be expected to be fully accountable and responsible of your team deliveries on schedule, in conformance to the bank’s policies and standards and within agreed levels of quality.
You will be ensuring success criteria are defined upfront to promote alignment and actively manage to expected project outcomes in line with the program outcomes.
As part of an integrated organization across 3 main sites (Paris, SQY, Singapore), you will forge close relationships with program director, others team leads, architecture functions and quality assurance teams. There will be a limited travel aspect to this role (approx. 25%).
A strong maturity in project management is required as you will be part of the project committee, reporting to the program director the progress highlights with key performance indicator, evaluating risk assessment and proposing mitigation, ensuring transparency throughout project lifecycle.

• Master’s degree in relevant specialities
Level of minimal experience

Experience
• At least 10 years in Software development or DevOps team
• At least 5-year experience with international investment banking domain
• A strong understanding of recent Java language features, such as lambdas, streams, and futures
• Solid experience with business interaction
• Good knowledge of algorithms and data structures with strong fundamentals in complexity analysis
• Strong ability to understand execution flow & debug even without access to a debugger
• Experience with Maven, Git, writing and maintaining integration tests

Technical skills required

· Understanding of and interest in finance & financial markets, particularly interest rate derivatives in their many forms (Forwards, Futures, Swaps, Swaptions, etc), knowledge of the greeks (Delta, Gamma, Vega, Vanna, Volga, Cega, etc), risk management concepts (VaR, ES, etc), market data (discount and forecast curves, SABR volatility matrices, correlation and hybrid correlation cubes, etc).
