Liaison Officer for Export Trade Finance (ETF)
- Processing export letter of credit advising/confirmation & liaising with relationship manager & Clients Responsible.
- Processing outward collection with and without forfaiting.
- Able to support Team Lead whenever is necessary.
Main Duties details:
- Review export LC and contacting customers to clarity on ambiguous terms
- Review export schedules against documents presented by clients/banks before scanning over to platform
- Ensure signatures of clients on applications are verified by P&R Dept before posting into Eboni for processing
- Ensure that transactions are processed in conformity with conditions of BLA/TFl or delegated authority
- Ensure transactions posted into Eboni are correct.
- Monitor/trace on posted transactions in Eboni that issuance/payment are executed within the time frame in SLA or as highlighted
- Perform any sanction controls as per procedures
Secondary Duties details:
- Perform monthly supervision of GL and quarterly supervision of physical files of TE clients
- Backup any duties whenever required
- Involve in any projects being assigned by department head
Provide secure, quality & efficient support for ETF which includes: -
1) Manage Operational risks
- Ensure that transactions are processed;
- Within acceptable technical risks and in compliance with bank’s rules and operation procedures
- In conformity with conditions of BLA/TFl or delegated authority;
- Timely processing of transactions by platform
- Timely and accurately of all events in the life of the transactions, including resolution of suspense items
- Responsible for the swift resolution of any pending items (events, payments, accounting entries, reporting) with ETF platform
2) Provide good customer service
- Maintain same day processing
- Provide appropriate technical advice to customers and Relationship Managers
3) Business continuity
- Provide backup whenever required
Bachelor's in Business Administration - Banking and Finance specializations or any other related degree certifications.
