Job summary

  • To support Head of Legal
  • Responsible for the certain legal and operational aspects of the Singapore branch legal department
  • Responsible for regional legal watch and regulatory updates

Key Responsibilities

  • Use and support the E-billing management tool (T360) for Singapore and other regional legal hubs and liaise with Paris Head Office Legal Spend Team
  • Oversee and manage the power of attorneys and authorisations of CACIB’s authorised signatories
  • Reviewing power of attorneys, board resolutions / minutes and constitutional documents
  • Project management of new legal initiatives
  • Work with Head of Legal and/or external legal counsel for updates to legal templates
  • Support Head of Legal l in day to day legal matters including without limitation, production of monthly and quarterly reports to HK and Paris, maintaining accurate and up to date records of external legal spend, KPI reports to HK and Paris and basic word processing.
  • Provide basic legal advice on basic essential legal issues to business lines and support functions
  • E-Filing and archiving of relevant communications and legal documentation
  • Review and assist Business to prepare and negotiate bilateral financing documents based on bank’s standard templates to be signed with clients of the bank, under the guidance of Head of Legal.
  • Transaction management of various finance transactions with external counsel under the guidance of Head of Legal
  • Compliance with external counsel policy in all matters with external law firms

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

Law related Diploma / Degree

Level of minimal experience

3-5 years


-Relevant work experience
-Post- graduation or post- qualification experience of 1 to 3 years in a legal firm or legal department with good track record

Required skills

-Positive learning attitude with initiative
-Experience in effective legal cost management and use of e-billing tools
-Good understanding of systems and satisfactory literacy of Microsoft applications
-Basic to good understanding and application of basic legal principles
-Efficient time management for multiple tasks and roles
-Effective communicator with good inter-personal skills and able to work effectively in a team
