Job summary

Summary of the set-up:

· Based on an agreement between its Global Investment Banking and Structured Finance departments, CA-CIB has established a team dedicated to M&A in the Infrastructure and Power sectors. The team reports to the Deputy Global Head of M&A (GIB) based in Paris with coordination and report locally into the Global Head of Infrastructure (SFI) based in London. This team is called M&A London – Power & Infrastructure

· The M&A London P&I team is responsible with leading the origination and execution of M&A mandates in the infrastructure and power sectors in EMEA

 

Principal accountabilities of the Intern:


· Contribute to the origination of transactions for M&A London – P&I: assistance in preparation of marketing pitches in full co-ordination with the rest of the P&I team, Sector Coverage, SFI product teams and GIB;

· Take part in the execution of mandates (buy side or sell side): process organisation, assistance in financial analysis and presentation materials, creation of transaction support documents;

· Review in-house training materials to get up to speed on technical aspects;

· Seek and receive guidance from other P&I bankers on technical aspects;

· Attend team meetings and participate in the day-to-day life of the department.

 

Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities:

· Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the London Compliance manual and the Financial Crime Policy. Complete any mandatory training in line with legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements;

· Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence;

· Refrain from taking any steps which could lead to the removal of certification of fitness and propriety to perform the role;

· Comply with all applicable conduct rules as prescribed by the relevant regulator.

Academic qualification / Speciality

  • In order to be considered for this vacancy you must have an undergraduate degree (or higher) with minimum classification of 2:1.

• Basic knowledge of valuation and modelling techniques, as well as financial theory and accounting,
