Job summary

Head of Sustainable Banking for Americas, position within the Sustainable Banking team which is responsible, in collaboration with relevant business lines, for the origination, execution and distribution of sustainable finance transactions (i.e. with strong environmental and social component) across the bank

Key Responsibilities

Team management (~2-3 people in 2021), i.e., organization and training of the team, coordination and supervision of the commercial development, origination and execution of sustainable finance transaction (incl. sustainability bonds, impact investments, green loans) in Americas
Active participation to the Global Sustainable Banking team governance, animation and strategy in collaboration with other SB team senior members
Direct responsibility on a TBD portion of the Americas’ Sustainable Banking activities (e.g., geographic-based, or product related), depending on the team organization
Coordination of the network of Sustainable Banking coordinators in the region (~15 people in 2021)
Organisation of the proper information sharing with all relevant business lines about the development in sustainable finance to ensure a sufficient market expertise; work closely with business lines when and where appropriate to establish efficient working relationships
External bank representation (e.g., medias, market bodies, etc.), under the guidance of local management and communication teams, to promote CACIB Sustainable Finance franchise
Creation and management of tight relationship with sustainable finance Americas market stakeholders (e.g., ESG rating agencies, ESG analysts, etc.)
Involvement in selected strategic CA Group Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives (e.g., upcoming deployment of Transition Scoring, etc.)
Market intelligence development to strengthen CACIB sustainable franchise and have tailor-made proposal to the clients
Active contribution to the development of adequate tools (e.g., process, database, template) to maximise efficiency within the global Sustainable Banking team
This position will entail frequent travel throughout Americas, as well as sometimes in Europe
Key Internal Contacts

All Sustainable Banking team members on a global basis
SRO, SCO, local head of business lines, senior bankers, all business lines originators, syndicates and sales in Americas

Key External Contacts

All clients (major FIs and Corporates), ESG rating agencies and ESG market professionals, ESG investors, Regulators, etc…

Outlook, Office pack and especially PowerPoint and Excel, Intranet tools

Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the Head Office and USA Compliance manual and the Financial Crime Policies and laws. In particular, comply with Financial Security, Fraud and Anti-Money Laundering regulation.

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Postgraduate degree – MA/MSc/PhD/Doctorate or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

Master Degree preferably in Business or Economics

Level of minimal experience
