Job summary


Part of the KYC Middle Office team, in coordination with the Client On-Boarding Support team, Front Office, Financial Securities and the KYC Controllers, the Head of KYC Control Team is in charge to animate KYC Control Resources to ensure pro-efficiently the productivity and quality of the KYC processing.

Main responsibilities:

Provide domain leadership

  • Create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort
  • Motivate and inspire team members by setting a good example (role model) - behavior consistent with words
  • Help develop team members; help resolve dysfunctional behaviour
  • Strive for team consensus and win-win situation
  • Ensure discussions and decisions lead toward conclusion

  • Interview candidates to KYC Analyst/Controllers position

Focus the team on the tasks at hand or the internal customer requirements

  • Coordinate with internal customers as necessary
  • Initiate sub-groups or sub-teams as appropriate to resolve issues and perform tasks in parallel

 Coordinate domain logistics

  • Ensure deliverables are prepared in line with the requirements
  • Help keep the team focused and on track
  • Work with GRM team Leaders and Head of Departments to obtain necessary resources to support the team's requirements
  • Establish meeting times, places and agendas

Communicate team status, task accomplishment, and direction

  • Analyze status reporting of team activities against the program plan or schedule
  • Keep the Head of department informed of task accomplishment, issues and status
  • Serve as a focal point to communicate and resolve interface and integration issues with other teams
  • Escalate issues which cannot be resolved within the team
  • Provide guidance to the team based on management direction


Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the Singapore Compliance manual and Compliance policies and procedures as issued from time to time; Financial Security requirements, including, but not limited to, the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud including reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
  • Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

Bachelor or Master Degree in Finance & Banking or equivalent fields

Level of minimal experience

6-10 years


• Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience

  • Accuracy, diligence and the ability to deliver high quality results within tight deadlines

  • Strives to deliver the solution in the most effective and timely manner

  • Strong perseverance and diligence towards attaining goals and effective time management

  • Good knowledge of financial regulatory requirements and AML risk implications; experience with regulatory and / or KYC related topics



Technical skills required

Experience in KYC/AML / due diligence within corporate and investment banking domain in a client facing environment.

Good to have:
1. Knowledge of banking regulations across the globe
2. Anti-Money Laundering or CAMS certification
