Job summary

Main Responsibility

Manages a team of 10 staff in charge of handling MO processes for ITB transactions including commodity finance, export finance, trade finance (including forfaiting), supply chain/payable finance and cash management. Primary function is to liaison among parties (including FO, BO, other internal support functions, clients, lead and/or participating banks, electronic platform and insurance providers) involved in the execution of transactions originated by ITB FO teams. The nature of underlying transactions will include bi-lateral arrangements and bank participations. The candidate will evaluate the structures of new forfaiting and payable finance transactions, originated by ITB FO teams, to ensure a) CA CIB systems are compatible with the proposed structure, b) modify internal MO procedures as necessary and c) validate new procedures and operational requirements with the BO prior to transaction closing. 


Functional Tasks

Manages allocation of tasks within the team, ensuring quality of execution, resiliency and back-ups.
Contributes to decisions on organization, hiring, etc. for ITB MO.
Is an effective “gate keeper” to ensure that all processes, including new tasks or functions, under MO responsibility protect the Bank against risks of loss, including operational, fraud and compliance risks.
Establishes regular dialog with ITB FO team to gain complete understanding of products, client expectations and business line strategy.
Take charge/write/amend internal procedures as they relate to products and MO processes under his/her responsibility.
Respond to internal requests, including audit, internal control, New Activity & Product committees, New Operational Processes committees, etc as they relate to ITB transactions managed by the ITB MO team.
Interacts with IT and external platform providers to define needs, assess solutions and assist in implementation of new tools used to process ITB transactions.



10+ years of experience in a Transaction Banking middle office.



BA or BS in Finance or Business.


Other Skills

Strong verbal and writing skills for effective and concise communication

Knowledge of CA CIB New York core systems is a plus

Self-motivated individual with problem solving abilities

Exposure to Supply Chain Financing/Forfaiting platforms is a-plus
