Job summary

The “FIM/REX – Refinancing and Execution” team within Finance IT (FIT/GIT) is responsible for a suite of applications and services, supporting the refinancing processes of the Group’s entities: global financial advances to the Caisses Regionales’ (regional banks’), loans, financings and guarantees given and received by Credit Agricole S.A.

The London Branch’s front, back and middle office operations (FIG/EXM/CASA) are managed through CACIB’s Calypso trading system. These operations are fully integrated within the accountability and regulatory tools of Credit Agricole S.A.

The role involves developing new business functionality and maintaining the existing code base for various applications (specifically within Microsoft Access Databases), as well as being involved in regulatory changes that impact the London Branch from an IT perspective. The individual will be expected to work closely with Business Analysts and technical architects in the implementation of new features and technical enhancements and/or bug fixes specifically around, but not limited to, Microsoft Access Bases.

The individual will be based in London and trained by the Branch’s IT Business Analyst to learn about the entire pre and post-trade development eco-system. The candidate must be a self-starter, energetic individual with a true passion for technology and finance, who can propose new ideas.

Candidate’s core attributes will include:
• Energetic self-driven individual, adaptable as context determines, with the ability to take instruction and work autonomously; or to work collaboratively as part of a small team
• Technical background with specific demonstrable skills in the following areas:
o VBA (Access Databases and Excel Specifically)
o XML
o Java
• Software engineering skills:
o Design and build
o Unit testing and mocking frameworks
• Familiar with agile practices and test-driven development

Key Responsibilities
• Participate in sprint planning & estimation, providing regular status updates to project managers
• Design & develop new features and technical components to deliver cutting edge applications
• Propose improvements to the architecture, configuration, testability and security of the platform
• Implement test driven development and contribute to code peer reviews
• Provide front line level support for Access Databases
