Job summary

  • The GMD electronic offering is a means to deliver the commercial and product strategy. In this context, the eSales team, embedded within the global Electronic Client Connectivity team, is a specialised, strategy and product-driven team, supporting the bank’s distribution strategy in its electronic dimension.
  • eSales – Fixed Income is a key stakeholder in the definition and rollout of the eFI product and client strategy. The role will focus on EUR Rates products (Cash & Derivatives):
  • Understand clients’ needs and evolving trading strategies to guide the bank’s distribution strategy.
  • Partner with internal and external clients to solve problems and contribute to growth generation.
  • Lead change management efforts across the bank to extract value from market electronification.

Key Responsibilities

eFI Distribution Strategy

  •  Focusing on EUR Rates (Cash and Derivatives), contribute to the definition of the eFI product and client strategy using feedback from clients as their electronic trading strategies evolve.

  • Extract value from the continuous FI market electronification, through cross-selling and cross-fertilisation with voice activity.

External Relationships

  • Team up with voice Sales to meet customers and promote the bank’s electronic offering as well as understand clients’ ‘e’ needs.

  • Be the primary contact point for client-related business on electronic trading platforms.

  • Understand and institutionalise the client’s dealer selection process to drive the commercial strategy.

  • Participate actively to the ‘e’ market community and provide intelligence to relevant Product Lines (on market structure, trends etc.)

  • Have a proactive approach to internal and external marketing.

Performance Tracking

  • Contribute to the development of statistics on electronic distribution performance at the relevant level (product, client, country), in partnership with eFI Product Manager and Sales.
  • Use client information and data to solve problems and ensure adherence to the commercial strategy.
  • Lead the electronic activity input into business initiatives and provide ‘e’ information/data to be actioned.

 Electronic Product Distribution

  • Take ownership for the ‘e’-related commercial action items of eFI product and client action plans defined with Sales and Trading and provide regular feedback to internal stakeholders.
  • Have a standardised and systematic approach to reviewing eFI client setup (spreads, user enablement etc.) to ensure monetisation of FI electronic flows.
  • Disseminate market information internally and drive the bank’s adaptation to new business models / paradigms.
  • In some cases, assist in product development initiatives to facilitate project completion and rollout from a commercial viewpoint.

Required skills

  • Around 5 years or more professional experience in capital markets flow products.
  • Experience in eSales either with a Bank or external platform vendor.
  • Extensive knowledge of FI electronic markets and capital markets products (especially Rates and Repo products), incl. trading protocols.
  • Excellent presentation skills for client facing role.
  • Role requires business travel.
