Job summary


Responsible for (ii) pricing, structuring, underwriting and distributing Project Finance debt, and other asset classes as the case may be, (ii) working closely with origination teams (arranging and advisory) in pitching and marketing efforts by bringing market and investor intelligence to client presentations/ discussions.

Sector scope includes Infrastructure, Power & Utilities, Industry & Resources, Rail, Telecoms (for Digital Infrastructure). Candidate must be capable of leading syndication calls with clients and other co-underwriters in deal execution (primary selldown or PP placement), in addition, candidate should be fully proficient and knowledgeable in negotiating TS and related mandate documents with origination teams, clients, and FAs.

Key Responsibilities

1. To interact closely with the investor base, CACIB's origination teams and the rest of the distribution team in order to i) support origination activities of EIG/ SFI / SFA and the senior bankers where relevant, and other métiers if needed, ii) assure CACIB's PF loan and PP transactions are structured and priced to sell into the loan and private placement market, iii) syndicate/ distribute in primary/ secondary market PF transactions originated by the bank, plus structured private placements, whether in the form of loans or private bonds/ notes in the relevant sectors;

·       Provide initial input to preparation of Business Opportunity Memos;
·       Provide appropriate support to the SFI Advisory team in close coordination with the relevant Global Sector Coordinator;
·       Help provide market view and comparable deals on new transaction pricing;
·       Help prepare relevant material for pitches and attend "pitch" meetings with clients and investors as may be required;
·       Provide sector focused investor coverage and develop an understanding of investor demand;
·       Represent the bank to new investors;
·       Provide general background information on market conditions and analysis of appetite of individual banks/investors and market liquidity/ capacity as may be required by SFI/ SFA;
·       Prepare syndication opinions in support of credit applications presented by SFI, both for underwritings and as a benchmark commentary for club transactions;
·       Assist in the preparation / agreement of the syndication strategy with SFI, other MLAs / Bookrunners and clients;
·       Review term sheets, mandate letters, loan documentation, DD inc. financial models and audit; technical, insurance and market reports etc. from a syndications view point;
·       Assist in preparation of key syndication materials such as IM and teasers, when relevant;
·       Contribute the syndication process on relevant loans until final target hold is achieved, and distribute them on the secondary market;
·       Work closely with investors in their credit approval process helping with Q&A;
