Job summary

Business Background

DCM Solutions is in charge of marketing DCM capital structuring and liability management advisory capabilities to CA-CIB’s global client base (financial institutions, SSA and corporates) and maintain a knowledge base for the know-how and the expertise on Capital and Liability Management in order to continue to expand CA-CIB’s track record and franchise.

Other market opportunities may arise which require additional development / marketing of technical/analytical approaches to DCM pitches and could therefore fit into a broader Solutions team mandate.

Key Responsibilities

Support the DCM Solutions & Advisory senior team members in performing analysis, building up recommendations and produce pitches in an effort to enhance our dialogue with DCM clients to win Liability Management and Corporate Hybrid mandates.
Prepare market updates / case studies on relevant trades in the market to be circulated with DCM.
Maintain the Liability Management and Corporate Hybrid databases.
Co-operate with other business line as needed (equity linked team, other financial engineering teams, ratings advisory).
Report to management on the progress of the business and specific issues.

Control and Risk Management

League tables: rely on third party polls to determine rankings (source such as IFR, Euroweek) in order to determine where the activity stands relative to the market competition but taking into account CA-CIB client base relative to competitors coverage.

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

Degree preferably in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance or Law

Required skills

Required experience:
Strong quantitative skill set
Working experience in Debt Capital Market Origination
Work experience abroad
Some previous exposure to Liability Management and Corporate Hybrids

Other European language skills a plus

Competentcies Required
Strong analytical and Financial knowledge -

Excellent written and verbal
communication in English

Judgement - ability to think quickly
and work collaboratively

Teamwork / Team Focus

Creativity – particularly in identifying
value added services for clients that
