Job summary

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1.      Assist the FX Global Head, the senior FX Business Manager and the Fixed Income Trading COO in day-to-day queries from various Businesses and Functions

2.      Act by delegation of the Fixed Income Trading COO to maintain proper FX Governance, to lead commercial initiatives and to complete transversal projects
a)     Help manage and conduct ongoing projects such as the implementation of Forex initiatives under the GMD strategic roadmap.
b)     Act as backup of the senior FX Business Manager and the Fixed Income Trading COO in attendance of Governance meetings and committees, if needed.
c)      Spearhead NAP & NAC processes for any strategic and tactical initiatives of FX PL, mobilize constructive review of the files and ensure their successful passage; elevate any unresolved issues.

3.      Perform daily FX P&L production and related commercial analyses for the Forex Management
a)     Collect P&L data for the day, challenge the data sources and chase inconsistencies, and produce the official Front Office Global P&L on Forex.
b)     Perform ad hoc analysis on results, commercial margins, etc. through Business Objects and existing reports.

4.      Respond to enquiries of GMD Permanent Control, RPC Permanent Control and Audit
a)     Conduct investigations on trades with negative mark-ups in collaboration with GMD Permanent Control team.
b)     Ensure the smooth functioning of Internal and External Audits and when needed conduct investigations and checks following up on Audit open recommendations.
c)      Help conduct the BaU monitoring of Forex under the FX Remediation target setup.
d)     Coordination of DR and Business continuity planning as well as regulatory filings related to FX PL.

5.      Help in reviewing, updating, maintaining and implementing Policies and Procedures of Global FX
a)     Ensure the FX rules and procedures are in line with recommendations of the FCA Remediation Programme, and new FX markets best practices, by regular updating of the FX policies suite.
b)     Challenge the existing practices and help the Fixed Income Trading COO apply remediation actions to comply with the intent of GMD Policies & Procedures, and in particular for FX on FX procedures.
c)      Help circulate the new regulatory culture in Foreign Exchange to FX staff.
d)     Ensure all FX Personnel in Trading, but also Structuring and Sales, Quants, and any other FX related teams, are properly recorded in the Policy Manager and have acknowledged via electronic sign-off the relevant policies on their perimeter.
e)     Conduct on yearly basis training of newcomers on the procedures for London-based staff, and if needed in other European centers. Ensure FX policies champions in Asia and the Americas conduct such training on a yearly basis.
f)       Review functional and flow charts of FX PL relationships with Sales and Support Functions.

Minimal education level

Any appropriate regulatory licences to manage FX business

Degree level educated

Ongoing professional education courses

 

Required skills

Solid experience in audit, inspection, organisation, consulting or Forex

Ability to work across the organisation, building solid working relationships in a solutions driven manner

Experience of implementing practices in FX

Technical skills required

Extended knowledge of Microsoft Office, Business Objects, VBA

Knowledge of technical aspects of Forex markets

Knowledge of capital markets activities (business model, market/counterparty risks)

Knowledge of CA-CIB organisation i.e.: decision-taking process, IT, back office, accounting, financial control, finance, control, risk

Knowledge of best practices of Forex  area and products
