Job summary
The Business Support Group (BSG) UK & Belgium acts as a central gateway point (interlocutor) between the Branch and the operational teams in the offshored locations (India and Paris Platforms).
The BSG receives transactional instructions from a number of internal departments:
· Structured Finance (“SFI”)
· Debt Optimisation and Distribution (“DOD”)
· Client Coverage and International Network (“CIN”) - Commercial Banking and Trade (“CBT”)
· International Trade & Transaction Banking (“ITB”)
· Distressed Assets Worldwide (“DAS”)
· Telecom, Media and Technology Finance (“TEL”)
· Secondary Loan Trading “(SLT”)
· Local Public Institutions and Securitisation (“GMD”)
For the following types of Loan Finance:
· Uncommitted Facilities
· Committed Facilities
· Participant / Bilateral / Syndicated / Club / Agency (large pools) / SLT (purchase and sales)
· Term / Revolver
Within the life of a loan, the BSG has certain responsibilities as to the set up and maintenance of the static data, the analysis of the Transmission Sheet & associated loans documentation and provision of Front Sheets and supporting documentation to the Platforms.
The BSG is responsible, primarily, for analysing and when/if needed challenging the information contained within the received Transmission Sheets and any associated Credit Agreements and ensuring that each Facility and embedded Guarantee/Collateral (if required) is captured on a timely basis in the requisite systems.
The BSG then assist, control, guide and advise (when required) the Platforms and Middle Offices in all related Loan Event processing and all queries that arise from these Events and, ensure the control and monitoring of the production quality, KPI’s and SLA is adhered to by the Platforms.
The BSG has some tasks to fulfil related to the Risk aspects i.e. registration and follow up of mitigants (collateral) in MIHOS and commitments (Limits) in FA.
Therefore the BSG will interact closely with different counterparts :
· Externally: the Client Borrower or the Agent Bank
· Platforms (India and Paris)
· Internally : Front Office, Middle Office, Accounting, Risk, legal and other areas where needed
Management and reporting
· Daily and monthly ISIS Control reporting
· Nostro reconciliation update
Controls
· Transactional Controls
· Review of Platform End of Day Controls
· Review of Platform End of Month Controls
· Post batch controls, investigations and corrections
Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities
· Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the London Compliance manual and the Financial Crime Policy.
· Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required

Required skills
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in processing a portfolio of diverse and complex Agency transactions (Agent Only, Agent and Participant) and liaise between Middle Office and the Platforms and external client to ensure timely and efficient communication during busy and pressurised periods
• Assist in processing a varied portfolio of SLT, Participant, Bilateral and Syndicated Committed / Uncommitted transactions (ability to monitor and control end to end process)
• Analyse the Transmission Sheet & associated Loans documentation in order to be able to provide opinion on the technical operational clauses of the contract.
• Capture and maintain static data into LMT Diary and fee system
• Maintain and update the Eboni Loans portal/LORIS
• Registration of the Mitigants in Mihos and the Commitments in FA.
• Ensure that a high level of interaction and communication is maintained with the Platform and Middle Office to ensure full knowledge of developments in all Facilities
• Advise all parties of decisions or events within the life of the Loan
o Drawdowns, Rollovers (increase/decrease), repayments, prepayments, rate fixes, utilisations, fee booking, silent sub participations
• Daily control of Loans activity including anomaly investigation
• Receipt of Notices, authentication of signatures for upload to Eboni Portal/LORIS
• Check all drawdown requests, rate fixes, rollovers, fees, transfers, cancellations, prepayments etc
Technical skills required
• Provide information relating to drawing requests
• Processing and calculation of various fee types, (eg Commitment)
• Maintain control of drawing documentation
• Check prepayment terms and conditions
• Review fund flow and Nostro breaks
• Liaising with Middle Office or external customers re unclear instructions
• Confirm Collateral/Guarantee documentation is in line with the Facility documentation.
• Posting of pertinent transaction documentation to Eboni Portal/LORIS for action by Platform
• Ensure that adhoc queries relating to deals are dealt with in an accurate and timely manner (e.g. payment instructions, follow-up queries on payments etc)
