Job summary

This position is part of the “Banking Talent Programme” organized by HKMA. The Programme targets fresh graduates from local universities and young graduates who will be offered six-month work opportunities and receive industry-specific training effective from early September 2020.


The successful candidate will be supporting the Human Resources Operations, Generalist and Learning and Development team to deliver quality Human Resources solutions.

HR Operations:

  • Support the team on HR operations such as payroll and taxation, benefits and HRIS administration
  • Assist in various reporting requirements

HR Generalist:

  • Support the HR officers and business partners in recruitment related activities such as job posting, and interview organising
  • Support visa applications, renewals and termination related processes
  • Assist in maintaining the portal for managing employee P-files and related information

Learning and Development Support:

  • Provide logistics support for in-house and external training courses as required including attendance management, venue and event coordination and set up
  • Assist in enrolments consolidation, and training data preparation as required
  • Assist in project as assigned in relation to L&D function 

Project work:

In addition to the rotation across the departments, review data and provide recommendations on a data management project to clean up existing databases

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

• Bachelor Degree holder preferably with a degree in Human Resources or related discipline

Level of minimal experience

0-2 years

Required skills

• Numerical, good analytical skills, high level of accuracy when dealing with data
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Team player, proactive and articulate

Technical skills required

• Proficient with MS Office applications, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point
• Strong excel skills, preferably with the ability to build and design macros


• Fluent in spoken and written English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin is an advantage
