Job summary

The Agency and Middle Office Team provide support to all business lines of CACIB Singapore branch. It covers active support in the client on-boarding processes, monitoring of the portfolio of Bilateral and Syndicated facilities, and daily client servicing.

 Main responsibilities

  1. Loan Management
  2. Supporting Front Office
  3. Client Servicing

Supporting Front Office

  • Completing the KYC onboarding process (checking all original documents including account opening documents).
  • Coordinating with the internal teams and clients for timely completions.
  • Performing name scans (PEP and adverse information checks/TNS lists scans)on authorized signatories of the bank’s clients.
  • Coordinating and responding to queries on behalf of Front Office for KYC status

Loan Management

Acting as Facility and/or Security Agent the candidate will be responsible for handling the day to day operational requirements of a portfolio of syndicated loan transactions including, but not limited to:

  • Confirmation of Conditions Precedent (CPs);
  • Monitoring scheduled activity on your loan portfolio;
  • Liaising with borrowers and lenders to ensure timely execution of processes and lifecycle events;
  • Interacting with lawyers on facility documentation, legal consents etc;
  • Engaging internally with the Front Office and Credit Risk teams to ensure relevant approvals and sign offs are obtained for any Agent-led decisions.

Additionally, the candidate will be expected to:

  • Comment on loan documentation (Agency/Participation/Bilateral).
  • Be responsible for watching the processing of all loan related activity (drawdown, rollover, fee/interest apportionment, repayments etc.).
  • Ensure that the portfolio remains compliant and properly updated in CACIB’s system.
  • Monitor borrower compliance with submission of documentary and financial covenants and process waiver request if required.
  • Attend to queries from borrowers, lenders, investors and other transactional partners on time.

Client servicing

  • Quoting indicative rates to clients on a daily/weekly basis
  • Responding to specific requests for loan/deposit rates 
  • Managing loans and deposits for Coverage, Structured / Project Finance, Real Estate  (refers to bilateral loans)
  • Liaising with the borrower to confirm amount, tenor, rates
  • Prepare ticket for booking, ensure payment is released in time, provide loan advice to client
  • Ensuring repayments are received on value dates
  • Answering Client related queries on their accounts (Account balances / monthly account statements, Audit confirmations, Facility usage, etc).

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

Relevant Degree

Level of minimal experience

6-10 years


Relevant experience in Middle Office

Required skills

-A previous relevant experience in Banking / Agency Loan Operations;
-Strong communication skills both written and verbal being comfortable interacting with all levels of seniority and with external clients
-A good attention to detail and high levels of self organization
-Knowledge on the banking regulatory requirements
-Fluent in Mandarin (both written and spoken) is a plus
