Job summary

You will join our Austrian Representative Office of CACIB in Vienna (CIN/PAI) as Assistant / Relationship Manager Central and Eastern Europe.

Crédit Agricole CIB International Business Solutions provides services to the CA group customers (mainly SMEs from Regional Banks, LCL, CACIB and all the different units), helping them finding appropriate banking and business development solutions for exporting and/or establishing a new subsidiary in foreign countries.

In this regard, the Vienna Representative Office of CACIB Vienna is dedicated to covering the whole Central and Eastern Europe as well as Russia and Eurasia (incl. Central Asia, Caucasus).


Your mission:


Provide the corporate customers with bank services as well as with legal, tax and commercial support in CEE and the CIS by using following tools or contacts:

  • Network of the CA Group in the whole region
  • Network of our Austrian partner bank, the Raiffeisen Group (RAIFFEISEN BANK INTERNATIONAL - RBI) via its head office in Vienna and its network in the whole region
  • Any other institutional or private organization chosen by the Head of the International Desk

Assist the Head of International Desk in his tasks:

  • Provide Information about legislation and banking practices in Austria, CEE and the CIS
  • Assist the CA Group entities in their current operations: Opening of accounts for resident and non-resident, setting-up of credit facilities, Cash management solutions
  • Commercial information (reputation, solvency, banking and financial information)
  • Introduction of the customers to institutions that offer commercial support (e.g. Business France units)
  • Recover credits or fraudulent payments
  • Give support, in collaboration with the services of RBI or external lawyers
  • M&A support

Participate in administrative tasks such as:

  • Telephone calls, reception and answering of e-mails in French, German and English
  • Research, update and filing the documents relative to customers
  • Letter correspondence with the CA network or RBI and its network in the region
  • Monthly reports to CREDIT AGRICOLE CIB Paris

These tasks include a day-to-day relationship with the CA-group (especially the Caisses régionales, LCL, CREDIT AGRICOLE CIB and the entities of Crédit Agricole SA in France and abroad) and their customers, as well as with RBI and its entities, Business France and any other partner or service providers in the region.

Further, in the absence of the Head of International Desk, the assistant will have to act as interim, in cooperation with CREDIT AGRICOLE CIB Paris for any issue above her/his competence.

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

• Post-graduate education (min. 2/3 years)
• Occasional business trips in France, Austria or the covered area

Level of minimal experience

3-5 years


• Banking experience of at least 3 years in the sector of Small and Medium Enterprises as well as Mid-Caps, if possible in France or in the CEE region
• Or an outstanding experience in the field of international commerce with the current practice of relationship with SME and Mid-Caps

Required skills

• Rigour and sense of organisation
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across disciplines

Technical skills required

Elaborated PC-skills, including all major Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint


Excellent language skills in French, English and German; other CEE language appreciated
