Job summary

** This position will be under the Employee Referral Program in Hong Kong.

Operations & Country COOs (OPC) in HK is made up of four main teams:

  • Financing & Trade Operations (FTO) including Documentary & Guarantee Operations, Credit & Loan Operations
  • Transaction Banking Operations (TBO) covering client account operations
  • Capital Markets Operations (CMO) including Middle Office, Back Office and Transverse Operations functions
  • Asia & Middle-East Operations Projects (AOP) covering CMO, FTO, TBO and Transversal projects



The Back Offices (CMB) provides operational services to multiple CA-CIB sites including Europe and Asia for all Capital Markets transaction including FX, MM, Derivatives, Structured trades and Fixed Income activities.


The activities of Payment team focusing on London, Paris and Asian booking including:

  • FX Settlement of value same day Asian/Gulf currencies (London/Paris booking)
  • CLS settlement cycle
  • FXMM and Derivatives Settlement (Asia booking)

Key Responsibilities:


  • Confirm with CA-CIB customers for the payment flows to be exchanged as part of the Exchange, Treasury and Derivatives activities.

  • The Back-Office handles settlements for multiple CACIB entities (e.g. Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Shanghai, London & Paris).

  • Monitor payments and ensure their proper execution within the strict set deadlines.

  • Respond to various requests by following the rules and procedures in place within CA-CIB

  • Identify and resolve the discrepancies detected in accordance with existing procedures and in relation to the departments concerned (Front-Office, Middle-Office, IT, etc.).

  • Relations with other departments (BO & MO).

  • Keep an audit of all tasks performed to meet Permanent Control requests.

  • The capture/validation of payment messages directly into SWIFT Alliance. (MT202, MT202COV, MT103 and third party payments).

  • Control operational risk: detect situations that could jeopardize the smooth running of the regulations or activity.

  • Compensation and Claims Processing.

  • Perform investigation in settlement discrepancies and related outstanding issues.

  • To assist with the CLS process flows for both Settlement members and 3rd parties and to provide support for the I/O swap process.

  • Participation in the drafting and/or updating of operational procedures for the sector.

  • 3 to 5 years related experience in FX/MM and Derivatives processing and settlement
  • Trade Repository requirements (for Hong Kong & Singapore) is helpful
