Crédit Agricole CIB’s Global Markets Division (GMD) has a network of 18 trading rooms around the world including our 5 liquidity centres in London, Paris, New York, Hong Kong and Tokyo. It is organized in 5 main business lines (Hedging & Investment Solutions, Financing & Funding Solutions, Equity Solutions, Treasury and Transversal units) with almost 1,000 staff across the globe.


GMD in Frankfurt is concentrating on 4 areas:

  • Corporate Sales
  • Financial Institution Sales
  • Debt Capital Markets
  • Credit Research

The GMD Corporate Sales Team in Frankfurt is taking care of multinational corporate clients in Germany, Austria, German speaking Switzerland and Ireland for all topics around FX, Interest rate and Liquidity risk management.


Apart from the day to day risk management needs we are closely working with our clients on tailored solutions for:

• Event / project - driven risk management:

- Acquisition risk management, for example deal contingent hedging
- Pre-Hedging of upcoming financing needs / debt issuances
- Optimization of subsidiary financing solutions: external vs internal financing; local vs cross border financing

• Group / balance sheet risk management:

- Optimization of the debt capital structure (currency & fixed/float mix)
- Managing FX risk on foreign net investments
- Management of corporate cash


Your missions

· Support the Corporate Sales team in their efforts to sell all relevant products of GMS to German, Austrian, selective Swiss (German speaking part) and Irish corporate clients; Assisting the team:

  - With client and internal presentations
  - In client coverage and deal execution
  - With analyses of client or other data to identify new opportunities

· Work directly on the desk and take a global view on the clients’ businesses
· Cooperate and communicate closely with Coverage and the Sales colleagues in other centers to capture all opportunities with GER, A, CH and IRL clients
· Attend internal meetings to review market strategy, exchange ideas and receive updates on any important matters
· Liaise with Middle and Back-office for any requests
· Assist the team to organize client events and conference calls / meetings / events with Research / Trading / Structuring

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Postgraduate degree – MA/MSc/PhD/Doctorate or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

Above average successfully completed university degree (Business administration or comparable academic degree preferred)

Level of minimal experience

0-2 years


Basic Knowledge of financial / capital markets, 1-3years’ of experience in these areas gained in a permanent job and / or relevant internships would be advantageous

Required skills

• Team Player with good Interpersonal Skills, and the ability to collaborate with colleagues in different locations

• Flexible self-starter with strong intrinsic motivation and responsiveness and attention to detail

• Be ambitious and courageous, think out of the box and bring new ideas

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English - presents ideas in a clear, concise and constructive manner
