Summary
Operations & Country COOs (OPC) in Hong Kong is made up of four main teams:
- Financing & Trade Operations (FTO) including Documentary & Guarantee Operations, Credit & Loan Operations
- Transaction Banking Operations (TBO) covering client account operations
- Capital Markets Operations (CMO) including Middle Office, Back Office and Transverse Operations functions
- Asia & Middle-East Operations Projects (AOP) covering CMO, FTO, TBO and Transversal projects
Within CMO, the Back Offices (CMB) provides operational services to multiple CA-CIB sites including Europe, US, Gulf and Asia for all Capital Markets transaction including FX, MM, Derivatives, Structured trades and Fixed Income activities.
The activities of Confirmation team focusing on FXMM, Derivatives and Structured products confirmation under Asian booking.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the confirmation processing of capital markets transactions including FXMM, FXNDF, FX Options, IRS/CIRS, Swaption, Caps and Floors, Structured Products covering Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo and other satellites in HK processing hub to ensure the daily operational activities of capital markets products are performed smoothly and efficiently.
- Ensure confirmations are issued in compliance with local regulations and the internal policy.
- Review operation process and application systems and recommend on enhancements to ensure the effectiveness in transaction processing and settlement.
- Identify and resolve workflow issues and problems.
- Establish and update the procedures.
- Engages in direct customer contact to ensure quality and timely services in transactions processing and inquiries are provided
- Handle daily reporting for internal control.
- Assist in system enhancement and responsible for UAT testing
- Assist team head to carry out common projects / global initiatives
- Provide management with information on unusual booking and settlement matters.
- Initiate client contact on trade confirmation or settlement matters and handle enquiry where necessary.
- Maintain a high level of client service internally and externally and help actively manage the Client-provider relationship
- Ensure risks and issues identified are resolved in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Keep operational losses at the lowest level

Experience

- Good knowledge of Back-office organization and processes on FX and MM activities
