Summary
Intern role within the Macro Flow Rates sales team:
- Supporting the desk in its day-to-day tasks to help achieve its budget
- Supporting management on strategy roll out and helping with various monitoring and reporting tasks
Key Responsibilities
Work on projects for the UK FI sales team as requested such as :
Sales/client/trading workflow and tools enhancement / maintenance (mainly focused on products: bonds, derivatives, vol)
Support the macro rates sales team on the day to day business: morning call, ideas/comment generation, client hit miss analysis
Daily trades reconciliation, revenues control and margin bookings when required
Model client trades in CACIB systems in order to check credit limits (for repo and IR option business)
Task automation / process optimization
Report creation
Information organisation
Digitisation
Communication efficiency
Sales enhancement
Trade idea generation
Systems
Excel, Outlook, VBA, Bloomberg, GCE, Omega, TradeWeb
Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities
· Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the London Compliance manual and the Financial Crime Policy.
· Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.
Degree, preferably in a Mathematical / Scientific area
Team oriented.
Ability to multitask with strong attention to details
Excellent communication skills and able to coordinate effectively with Managers,
Ability to think quickly, make decisions using good judgement and prioritise in busy trading situations.
Ability to remain calm under pressure.
