Summary
The Global Business Compliance Monitoring & Surveillance Team is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring and testing a transversal range of surveillance models across the entire range of businesses of CA CIB and Crédit Agricole SA, London Branch (“CASA”) trading activity, and providing a gap analysis that feeds into the Annual HO and LDN Surveillance Control Plan.
Key Responsibilities
The intern will be responsible for:
Monitoring of the Bank’s transactions and order types on a daily basis. Working collaboratively with the team to identify suspicious communications to escalate to team leads.
The main platforms for Trade Surveillance will be: IMAD, Actimize, Case Manager, MI/KPI Tools, Shared Drives for Audit and TS Control Documents.
The intern will have a basic understanding of financial institutions with scope to learn from senior compliance colleagues. The intern will help with the enhancement of the current Trade Surveillance set up. The Bank is running concurrent programmes to develop tools to further their monitoring abilities.
Also assist with producing MI/KPIs to relay back to senior Compliance management for reporting purposes.
It is important for this individual to escalate at the earliest opportunity any suspicious communications and have an understanding of key policies and procedures must be understood as they can form the basis for any internal breaches.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who must take the opportunity to understand market abuse/manipulation in line with our regulatory commitments and obligations.
You should have a proven track record in past experiences that can be built upon in relation to second line of defence and have the ability to manage their own work loads and ensure daily alerts are observed and analysed in a timely fashion.
Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities
· Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory Financial Security and internal Compliance requirements including Financial Crime and Fraud including reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO).
· Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.
· Escalate all issues that you do not understand or require further guidance.
